Last weekend, Joe and I took a trip to Old Downtown Grapevine. The great thing about Texas is there are so many nooks and crannies that you can delve deep into. It’s a great little melting pot. The people. The towns. The nick knacks. It was a bit chilly walking down Main Street, so it was a nice welcome to enter all the little shops and stores filled with homemade goods. Aromas of pumpkin spice, scented candles and old wood filled the air.
I remember visiting my dad in Iowa years ago and he occasionally would want to stop at an Antique shop. I hated it. “This stuff is so old. Who would want this stuff?” As years have gone by, I somehow have found a new appreciation for all things
old vintage and antique-y. Yeah, I’m sure that’s a word.
Eventually we got a bit hungry so we headed over to Napoli’s, an Italian restaurant (not the Texas Rangers catcher/first baseman). Oh, and they sell all sorts of sweets and gelato. Yum!
