Cinco de Cookout

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo over the weekend, a bunch of our friends got together for a little cookout at a nearby lake. It was also a great way to welcome the upcoming Summer season. Here’s to scorching rays of sunshine that will burn my Scandinavian skin. Here’s to sweating .0003 seconds after leaving the apartment. Here’s to 5 gallons of aloe vera and 22 gallons of 100 spf sunscreen. It’s gonna be a great season!

Joe and I waiting around for everyone to show up. We’re rockin the Ray Bans.

It’s Rachel’s birthday today. Happy Birthday! So we added her awesome birthday to the festivities. I’ve known this girl since I was 9 years old. We’ll celebrate our 15th friendaversary in December.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Glorious FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Burgers, jalopeno chedder hot dogs, turkey burgers oh my! Chips, fruit, pasta salad, cupcakes, cookies and more! So yummy.

You can’t have a cookout without watermelon. Ya know how the american pastime is baseball? Well the summer pastime is relaxing at the lake while chomping down on some juicy watermelon.

The time was filled with eating, playing cornhole, eating, playing catch, eating and getting our swim on. It was a beautiful day. A little windy, but no biggie.

After a quick shower, Joe and I made our way to Rudy’s for some awesome barbeque with Joe’s brother Micheal. Oh and did I mention we went to the movies and saw the Avengers? Oh yeah. It was epic and awesome. Absolute greatness I tell ya. I haven’t seen a 3D movie in a while. It was freakin visual I tell ya!
